The Blur Effect - FLASH

- Create the object that you will use in flash (make it a symbol).

- Export it to your desktop as .gif.
- Open the file in photoshop.
- Increase the canvas size by 200%
- Add a big horizontal motion blur to the image.
- Select the object including the blur.
- Save it as a Gif.
- Go back to flash, import the blurred image to a new layer.
- Put the blurred image's layer underneath the original image.
- Create a symbol out of the blurred image.
- Select a keyframe 24 frames later, add a new keyframe.
- Add a motion tween to both layers
- Go to the first keyframe of the blurred image.
- Scale it's length by 200% and set it's alpha property to 0.
- Add a keyframe to the blurred images' layer 12 frames in and set the alpha to 100.
- At the last keyframe set the the alpha to 0.
- On the original objects layer: Place a keyframe 24 frames from the first keyframe.
- At the first keyframe set the opacity to 0 and the length scale to 200%.
- Adjust the mix between the layers by clicking and dragging the original keyframe to where it matches the rate of blending you desire.
